Nolja-TOPIK+ Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms of Service is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the company and users regarding the use of the Korean language learning service (hereinafter referred to as "Service") provided by Nolja-TOPIK+ (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").

Article 2 (Definitions of Terms)

The definitions of terms used in these Terms are as follows:

  1. "Service"refers to the N-TOPIK2 Korean language learning platform for foreigners and all related services provided by the Company.
  2. "User"refers to members and non-members who use the services provided by the Company in accordance with these Terms.
  3. "Member"refers to a person who has registered as a member on the Service, has been assigned a User ID, and can continuously use the Service.
  4. "Content"refers to all learning materials provided within the Service, including vocabulary, grammar, sentences, conversations, and past TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) questions and explanations.

Article 3 (Service Details)

The Company provides the following services:

  1. Vocabulary Learning: Provision of Korean word, idiom, and phrase learning content
  2. Grammar Learning: Provision of Korean grammar learning content by level
  3. Sentence Learning: Provision of practical sentence and example learning content
  4. Conversation Learning: Provision of situational Korean conversation learning content
  5. TOPIK Past Paper Practice: Provision of past TOPIK exam questions and mock exam practice services
  6. Learning Statistics and Management: Provision of statistics such as learning history, progress management, and goal achievement rates
  7. Other Additional Services: Learning support services such as community, badges, and level tests

Article 4 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms are effective for all users who wish to use the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms if deemed necessary, and the amended Terms will be notified through announcements within the Service or via email.
  3. If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, they may stop using the Service and request to withdraw their membership.
  4. If no objection is raised within 7 days of the announcement of the amended Terms, it is considered that the user has agreed to the amendments.

Article 5 (Membership Registration)

  1. Users apply for membership by filling out member information according to the registration form provided by the Company and indicating their consent to these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Company may refuse or subsequently terminate the service agreement for applications that fall under any of the following items.
    • If the application is made using another person's name
    • If false information is provided or required information is omitted
    • If a minor applies without the consent of a legal representative
    • If the service is intended to be used for illicit purposes

Article 6 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)

  1. The Company collects the following personal information to provide services.
    • Email address Member identification, login, password reset, and sending notifications

    • Name Member identification and identity verification

    • Nickname Display within the service and community activities

    • Profile image Member identification and display during community activities

  2. Personal information shall be retained and used until the member withdraws from the service, and if separate storage is required by relevant laws, it shall be kept for the period specified by those laws.
  3. Users have the right to refuse to consent to the collection and use of personal information, but doing so may restrict the use of the service.
  4. For details regarding the collection, use, storage, and destruction of personal information, refer to the separate Privacy Policy.

Article 7 (User Obligations)

Users must not engage in any of the following acts.

  1. Registering false information during membership registration
  2. Stealing or unauthorized use of another person's information
  3. Unauthorized alteration, deletion, forgery, or falsification of information posted by the Company
  4. Infringing upon the intellectual property rights, such as copyrights, of the Company or third parties
  5. Damaging the reputation or obstructing the business of the Company or third parties
  6. Posting information that violates public order and morals, such as obscene or violent content
  7. Hacking, spreading malicious programs, or other acts that hinder the stable operation of the service
  8. Accessing the service or collecting content using automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.)
  9. Any other acts that violate relevant laws or regulations established by the Company

Article 8 (Provision and Modification of Services)

  1. The service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in principle.
  2. However, the service may be temporarily suspended due to inevitable reasons such as system maintenance, equipment failure, or natural disasters.
  3. The Company may change the contents of the service to improve quality, and major changes will be announced in advance.

Article 9 (Copyright of Content)

  1. The copyright for all learning content within the service (vocabulary, grammar, sentences, conversations, explanations of past TOPIK questions, etc.) belongs to the Company or the rightful owner.
  2. Users may not copy, distribute, transmit, publish, broadcast, or allow third parties to use the content within the service for purposes other than personal learning.
  3. Copyright of the posts posted by users within the service belongs to the users. However, the Company may use such posts for purposes such as service operation and promotion.

Article 10 (Paid Services)

  1. The Company may provide some services for a fee, and the usage fees and payment methods for paid services will be announced separately within the service.
  2. The refund policy for paid services is subject to relevant laws and regulations (such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.) and the company's refund policies.

Article 11 (Withdrawal of Membership and Loss of Qualification)

  1. Members may request to terminate their service agreement at any time through the membership withdrawal function within the service.
  2. If a member falls under any of the following grounds, the Company may restrict or terminate their membership.
    • If false information is registered during the application process
    • Interfering with another person's use of the service or stealing their information
    • If you use the service to engage in acts prohibited by laws or regulations or these Terms and Conditions
  3. Upon membership withdrawal, the user's personal information isPrivacy PolicyIt will be destroyed without delay in accordance with [the policy]. However, if retention is required by relevant laws and regulations, it will be stored for that period.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

  1. The company shall be exempt from liability if it is unable to provide services due to force majeure events, such as natural disasters, war, or service interruptions by telecommunications service providers.
  2. The company shall not be held liable for any service disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the user.
  3. The Company does not guarantee any learning effects or outcomes that a user may expect from using the service.
  4. The Company is under no obligation to intervene in disputes arising between users or between a user and a third party through the mediation of the Service, and shall not be liable for any damages resulting therefrom.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. In principle, disputes between the Company and the User shall be resolved through mutual consultation.
  2. If no agreement is reached, relevant laws and customary practices shall apply.
  3. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and the use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction.
